Well so much for Plan A.... Plan B it is!
Yesterday the weather turned ugly and we knew it would be questionable whether the ferry would run today. This morning we packed up anyway and headed to the ferry terminal and confirmed what we had guessed on the way there....cancelled. Unfortunately the cancellation makes it impossible for us to reach Haines in time to catch our ferry to Bellingham tomorrow evening, so it looks like we'll be making the drive down through Canada after all.
We're a little disappointed that we'll miss out on seeing the Inside Passage from the ferry, but we're going to make the most of our drive!
Wish us safe travels on the road, and if we're coming your way we may just be a day or two early!
